Just got a mailing, and decided to do a price quote. I was paying $1783 for 6 months with Progressive for a 08 G37 and a 98 Mercury Tracer beater car.

GEICO was $1083.00 for 6 months with slightly better coverages - it's always nice to save some money!

their service sucks... good thing you have a fairly new car where you wont run into problems with your car and need their help.

when my radiator blew because i installed the wrong cap on my integra. i needed a tow truck. it was saturday. halfway home. i called geico for a towtruck "included in my premium" and guess the F what. i was transferred to an automated service, put on hold for 30 freaking minutes and then was told to leave a message and someone will get to me.

i gave up, called a friend, he called the tow truck and i was on my way. i was out 70+ bucks for towing....

geico sucks.

I have 21st now and never had any problems with them. 24/hr customer service. My premium for 970 for 6 months 2 cars. well worth it for the service.

They always have someone to help you 24hr a day.

Ive been with Geico for almost all my driving years. They always have a good rate and work with you. Ask for all the discounts you can get. ie. Safedriver, theft device, alarm, association membership, etc.

I have/had the road side service for both BMW and Acura with GEICO(Used it many times for the BMW) and they all have been very responsive for all the times I called except once. It was over the tow company sending a tow that wouldnt go in underground garage after telling them its three levels down. Took almost 3 hours in DC on Laborday weekend. UGGH But they were very apoligetic. I believe the service is about $11.00/6mos. with GEICO so well worth it. Unfortunately no triptics, travel books etc. but I know theyre available.

I got the 100,000 mile warrenty on the G37 which includes roadside service....Hope it all pays off one day but hope to never need it!

I feel for you all, when you drive a 17 year old Q with 317k and no tickets or accidents in 20 years you get to pay ~~$150 every 6 months for $500,000 worth of liability and UIM + medical PIP.The $900 I save without collision [$1000 deductible] get added to the cars saving account which has grown to $6,800+ in case of an accident to buy another car.
