I just bought a set of 8 Gearwrench brand ratcheting wrenches from Sears on sale for $39.99-anyone have any experience with this brand as opposed to Craftsmen? They range from 8mm up to 18mm-I figured I would come out ahead by buying these and doing the upper links myself when it stops raining!

I bought a set of the craftsman ones... The ones with the dual offset box ends, for quite a bit cheaper.

unfortunately, somehow I lost all of them except for the 10mm (thankfully)... Im going to buy another set soon.

The nice thing about the gear wrench set is they will "click" with slightly less rotation, but Ive found the craftsman ones are more than adequate.

I have both. Wes is correct in saying they are a tighter ratchetingwrench. From experience (every day use) the craftman hold up better. Also I broke the gearwrench and sears would not take it. I would have to send it in. Where as the craftsman is taken care of right there in the store.

Thanks for the input! Sears employee said if I break a Gearwrench,I can now exchange it at any Sears store because they now carry individual wrenches in addition to the complete sets like I bought.Wondering whether I should have just got the Craftsman set,but employee said he preferred these over them-oh well,I dont think they will get that much use in my environment....Just in case anyone is looking to pick these up,they are on sale starting today for $39.99 and a additional $5.00 coupon was in todays circular for the 8 piece metric set.
