I know what you are saying about the host thing, but its just not the case. If it wasn't something to do with the netcode it would have been fixed way before now. It definitely does have to do with the latency and nothing more. If the host actually did do more damage and was more accurate and they didn't tell you about it, I dont think as many people would play the game.
I know what you mean about the revival animation, that was a big oversight. I never played the game online much, but I was able to get back on my feet and kill the people that were taunting me a few times. I've seen this sort of thing happen in other games too so it must be a fairly common problem in developing games. They need to figure it out soon though.
I'm not saying GoW was the perfect game, not even close. It's not on my top three 360 games, probably not even top 5. But it was fun whenever I played it and looked amazing with no framerate chops, so that makes it a good game to me.
