So the newest problem with the 240sx that I'm looking into is that from 1st to 2nd, theres a bit of a kick (which I dont quite mind). But he's telling me about some sort of gear slipping on very hot days like in summer when the 3rd to 4th transition just won't happen and the gear won't go in. Now this is an A/T we're talking about so wat could be going wrong? ECU overheating? I'm wondering about how much its gonna cost me to fix but first, gotta find out where the problem lies

Gear slip can occur with an automatic. If there is a problem with the valve body or one of the bands is worn, then slippage can occur. Some problems can be corrected with a transmission flush, but on higher mileage automatic transmission flushing the system and putting new fluid in can actually create problems.
