Im not sure if I have this right--your rear differential houses the gear right?

I came across a rb20det rear differential or whatever it is that houses the gear, my question is---will that bolt up to my 95 240, and if so is it worth doing it?

what gear?The rear diff has the ring,pinion,spider/side, gears in thereAre you talking about the Final Drive gear ratioin the R32 type M it had i believe 4.33:1Does that help?
