Hi guys,

My 2007 Versa with 6-speed MANUAL transmission, is about to hit 120,000 mi on it, and I think its time to drain and fill the gear oil.

Just wondering if anyone has done this procedure themselves yet,

Are there two easily identifiable fill and drain plugs on the transmission?

How much fresh gear oil will the 6MT need to fill up again? Think I've read 5qt somewhere...?

Thinking of going with redline MT90 in this case.

Any info or advice is appreciated, thanks guys,

Well... Go figure, searched around before I made this thread, found nothing. Soon as I make this thread and searched again, found a thread answering all my questions,

post4223126.html

The pics are down in that thread, so if I get a chance to snap some pics while doing my gear oil change, I'll post them here.

The drain bolt is plenty easy to find, right at the bottom of the transaxle, but does anyone know where the fill plug is exactly.

In the other thread its described as a wing nut, i took a quick peak around when doin my oil change today, but didnt really spot the fill plug on the transmission anywhere, but didn't look too hard either. wondering if i have to pull the battery in the engine bay in order to reach the fill plug more easily or not, any advice?
