Gaz Octane 87, 89 or 91?

Hi,

I know Nissan recommand to put regular gaz (87), but is there a difference to put 89 or 91?

Nope - there is no need to put 89 or 91 in your engine - it will do nothing except make your wallet lighter. The engine is designed to run on 87 octane. Higher octane fuels are designed to be used in higher compression ratio engines, such as the VQ engine used in many Nissan vehicles.

In Colorado they sell 85,87 and 89 Octane.We use 85.Keep in mind we are at a higher altitude, thinner air.Dealerships agree that it is OK to do so.I live in CO for about five years now and never had problems with it.When we leave the Colorado area we go back to 87 Octane.
