Gauging Interest

Whats up guys... I have been on this forum since I bought my 2001 I30 a few years back. It saddens me to say that my wife took my car to work 2 weeks ago and was hit by a Ford F250. The car has now been totaled.

It is with much sadness that I must decide wether to buy it back and part it out or take the cash and let them take her to the salvage yard for strangers to pick over her remains. Would there be any interest on the forum for me to part out my baby?

how much $$ you going to get and how bad is the damage

depends on what you have for parts and were you were hit i am in need of a few things so let me know what you have and were you got hit.

She was hit in the rear driver side quarter panel. Behind the back door. So all that needs to be replaced is the rear quarter, bumper cover, tail light, side marker light and the rest is suspension work. The frame was not bent. I was thinking of listing the whole car up for sale. I never wanted to get rid of her.

The pay off just barely covers what we owe. If we buyback the car we will actually be spending about 800 dollars out of our pocket to cover the difference of what they are giving us and what we owe the bank.
