Well the time has come. I am seriously considering selling my Q. Gas prices are really starting to take a bite out of my @$$.

Here's the details:

1991 q45Second owner51,000 original miles (no joke)All stock except for a pioneer head unit and earthquake speakers all around. Some minor body dings.

Guide Chains replaced

The car is going to Vanmeter this weekend for a complete check up.

I am looking for 7K. Let me know what you think.

Thanks - Sponger

Think you ought to post in Infiniti Classifieds.

Be creative to get the value out of the Q, as the web pricing sites say $3300-$3500 private even with low mileage[ adds $1200]. The guides should add another $1,000. Hopefully the transmission was changed by dealer in the past. [more value]. List every new item you have replaced [more value].

Looks like a nice Q. Too bad it doesn't have black leathers. It would be perfect with that paint color. If the 51k miles is legit, then it would be a great Q to own, but you'll probably wount get $7k here for it. NICO Q guys already have a Q they need to maintain & they're always looking for a bargain.

You could probably get $5k for that on Autotrader in a major metro area (i.e. DC, LA, NYC, Philly, Chicago, or Miami).

Any more than that and you're going to bump up against the ultra-low-mileage 94+ G50s, which I tend to see listed around $6k++ depending on mileage and condition.

Unfortunately we see nice low mileage Q every week where owners ask advice/help to sell them........we put some of them in our parking area and signs in waiting room bulletin board.

The problem is the market is $1,500-$3,000 with everything working.

We bought a pristine 96 with a sludged up motor for $500 and a not so pristine 92 that runs but needs guides for $500.

Thanks for all the input. I do plan on posting in the classifieds once everything gets checked over. That way I can sell with a clean bill of health and a clean concious. My problem is I see this as a special car worth 7K but the market may prove me wrong. I've seen some real POS cars that are asking way more!! Well I guess Ill find out when I post the ad. Thanks again.

Stick with your price if you have time. People that know what it costs to maintain a car properly will pay a premium. The question is how much.

Not being in a hurry to sell is your best bet.

I completely agree... SOMEWHERE out there someone will give you 7k for the car, its just a matter of waiting!

I agree somewhat with the waiting game but, from a buyers point of view, the more time the car is for sale, the more likely the price will drop.

I'll keep everyone "posted"
