Post

I have already spoken to Greg (AZHitMan) and he has given me clearance to post this. If any mods question it, feel free to email me first before deleting and I'll foward you the "Okay."

Hey guys and girls,

I've been thinking about getting Lojack for a while now and with the recent theft of a friends car (Ryota), it makes me want to get it even more so lol. Been a lot of thefts recently.

I'm talking to a couple of Nissan dealerships and also one of the sponsors here. As of now, I'm waiting to get word from the sponsor here before I ask any other place.

What I'm trying to do is to get a group buy together for the SoCal community. I get -nothing- out of this besides a cheaper lojack with install.

All i'm tryiing to do right now is to get an idea of how many people are game for this GB. If so, drop your name (SN counts) so I can add to the list!

So to sum it up:

Group Buy, Lojack for a cheaper cost, we are all happy and a higher chance to recover our cars quicker or at least catch the theives in progress, and to get an idea on how many people are game.

This is also going to be posted up on Zilvia.

$525 is the retail price w/ installation right...? what price are we looking at right now?

Well, I may as well get this while I still have the money. Paint will just have to wait.

This thread is bigger on Zilvia and I check that more than NICO.

Already have about 25 people from Zilvia and a few from here.

Check Zilvia SoCal thread. :P

This money is burning a hole in my pocket man. Since you asked on Zilvia for availabilities... I can do this on the weekends for like the rest of the year.

So what's our price again?

If you own an existing car you purchase directly through the company itself. Their techs will come out to you to install. There are multiple products and you can even get discounts if you order more than one. You can see on the website:

"a member of our direct sales team will contact you to set up an install or contact us directly at 1-800-4-LoJack."

Been busy.

Work late nights, sleep during the day, wake up when LoJack offices close then go to work.

Kinda sucky atm, but I planned on contacting LoJack themselves to get a better price.

I'm going to start saying that I have a low number of cars (IE: Ten) and see how much they'll lower the price with X amount of cars.

Its already been mentioned but not for the biggest reason.

You are better of using lo-jack itself for the best price but also the install is done much better. We install lo-jacks at our dealer. The techs that are doing it had to be certified and have a back ground check done before they were permitted to install them. However when lo-jack techs are not around I dont feel these units are being installed in the best of possible places or using the best possible technics considering what is being installed. Lets put it this way I did a better job concealing my stereo amp in my old geo metro then I have seen done with the lo-jack units in some of the cars.

Lo-jack itself has much higher standards when they do it themselves.

I just realized your name and what state you are from haha.

LJ HQ is in MA. :P

Anyways...I have some updates, but doesn't seem like anybody on NICO socal section is really interested lol.

Right now, it's still game on! Can only do 6 cars at a time, 525 for basic, 750 for early warning. Going to seperate people up in groups and either have it done at a persons house or a business (pipeline pizza, autobacs, corner 3, whatever).

Just a quick run down, full story is on Zilvia.net socal forums.
