Again I'm new to nissan. In my integra, a good setup would be

a/f ratio gaugeboost gaugeoil pressure gauge

do i need all of these for an sr application?are they recommended

I know for sure i should have a boost gauge.what about the others. specifically the a/f gauge.

thanks and sorry for the noobie question.

next im going to get the water temp gauge, doesnt the stock temperature gauge on the cluster only reads 3 settings: cold, medium, and hot.. ??? it never is exact about telling you how hot your engine is??? this is something a friend told me... can anyone back that up?

That may be somewhat correct in the sense that it can only detect a few temps, but not sure how many. Think about how as your car heats up the gauge will gradually rise. But I’m also curios as to how accurate they are.

there are two sensors. One that's pretty good that your ECU sees and the junky one that you see.

I'm going to have to say:1. Oil Pressure2. Boost3. EGT

The A/F is, like mentioned above, useless without a wideband O2. Its simply a party light. You could also choose to invest in the water and oil temp guages. Your factory coolant temp gauge may not be dead on accurate but it will let you know if things start heating up so an aftermarket gauge is not critical although if you picky and have the space you can get those aswell.
