Tach and speedometer don't work until the engine heats up. Temp. gauge and gas gauge pegs out at the top. I've changed the instrument cluster, the computer, the distributer, and the temp. sensor and checked the alternator. Nothing seems to help. Everything works after the engine heats up. Any other ideas?

We have checked everywhere and we can't find an instrument cluster to replace ours. Ours is a 1998 Frontier 4x4 manual transmission. If anyone knows where to find one please let me know

Whitepaint and Silverwood...Check your email addresses that you submitted on your NICO profile. There you will find the testing instructions of the instrument cluster.

The pages come right from the Nissan Factory Manual for a 2000 Xterra but the systems on the 1998-2000 Frontier are the same.

I hope this helps ferret out the problems you're having. I would send you the entire section on the Electrical stuff but it's too big for email (11.2 MB).
