gauges not working, suggestions?

hey guys i gotta 89 sohc ka, motor came out of a 90 but i used the same harness when i put it in. gauges worked fine in the 90 but now they dont work in this one. i checked and i didnt see any cuts in the harness after id put it in. i have three gauge clusters and none of them work when plugged in. kinda funny, the clock works and so does the high beam signal but nothing else. friend of mine said about a resistor pack or something? dunno if he knows what hes talkin about or not

Should be the same for the KA-E. Check the fuses and grounds. Also look at the FSM EL section

sry shoulda specified exact engine, it is a ka-e. and FSM EL section what is that? this is my only nissan and i havent worked on it or researched things in a couple years. i have a dsm that i spend most of my time on lol
