Gauges not working do to radio

I put a new radio in to my car and noticed that I had touch the dimmer wire with the power wire and now the dash lights don't work and the guages stop working and I have check all the fuses and replaced a relay and still nothing. I did find a plug that was huked to a cluster of diodes not sure what it is called but I think that is what is wrong but I have no clue what the little damn thing is called. But not sure if I should replace it or not.

I'll search more later if you don't find anything, but I know there's been 1 or more guys with an issue like this. you might try searching for dimmer or dash using the search tool. Limit the are to Car Audio and search for postswith the word in the body, not just the title, also try both current and archive content.

If you find anything posts in here, else I'll be searching tomorrow afternoon.

you need to replace your tcu.. .they blow very easily when this happens.

Does any one know how much a TCU would cost?
