Gauges in the dash???anything i should worry about

General discussion forum about the 240sx, and a great place to introduce yourself to the board!

I wanna put like 3-4 gauges flush mounted across my dash on the passenger side but i was wondering be4 i drill my dash is there anything behind it that i should worry aboout???

You can remove you stereo console and stick your hand up there and check and see if there is any wiring harness's or something else, or take off you glovebox, or just take off your dash and be really safe about it, I dont have a 240 anymore , but hopefully this helps a little...

Sounds like it could look pretty cool, but that's something I would plan REALLY REALLY carefully before I started drilling. I think removing the dash is absolutely necessary, because it would be a lot easier to make precise holes when you can see both sides of what you're drilling through. I don't mean to sound discouraging, but it would be really sad if you goofed and had a ruined dash. Good luck!

Taking off the dash is an excellent idea, and not too terribly hard....plus, you're setup will more than likely be a LOT cleaner(wiring and aesthetically)

if you have a s14, you can drill right into the airbag. yeah!

LOL or the compressed air tank right under it.

No but seriously, just look under the glovebox and you can see there is a bunch of stuff under there for an s14.
