I have a 1990 240sx, and my speedometer, odometer, trip meter don't work. I am guessing mainly it could be the speed sensor, I've read all about it.. but there is something else which leads me to believe its an electrical problem.

My dash's clock does not work.. it lights up, but no digits are displayed and pushing the reset hr/min button does nothing. I've checked all my fuses, under air box, near battery, and under the dash, but none are blown.. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Could be something as simple as a loose connector on the back of the instrument cluster or the speed sensor. The curcuit board on the back of the meter cluster can burn out or get a break in it. This might be a job for a shop to look at.

on my 89' 240 my speedo and odometer didn't work so i replaced the speed sensor because the guys at the nissan dealership told me that would fix it. Turns out it didn't and they said it was the speedo head afterall. Very expensive fix if you get it done at a dealer. But check it out it might be the problem.
