Gauge problem with s14 sr

I have a 95 s14 with a s14 sr. The swap has been done for a few years now and I just picked it up and started working out some of the kinks. The mph gauge comes and goes. It seems to loose power every now and then and the trip and mph gauge stop working, then they come on. Its completely random. Just seeing if anyone else has had this problem and can show me in the right direction. transmission sensor? Gauge wiring? Thanks guys.

I had problems with my tach, with my s14 SR in my S14..just suffered through it...

My car has this problem. My speedometer is always very jumpy and only works sometimes. I think you need to replace your speed sensor which i believe is somewhere around the tail end of the transmission.
