gauge problem

my temp and gas gauge just stoped working a few weeks ago they would work then stop and then work it acks like a loose wire but now sure the speed , oil pressure, and volts all work fine if you have a guess what is the problem let me know iam new to nissans

Best guess, a ground is causing your headaches.

The ground to the gas gauge come from the float and out of the tank. Check this thread. zerothread?id=475725

There is a ground off the temp sending unit. Look under the thermostat.

If these aren't you problem then it might be your instrument cluster.

thanks for the help iam going to check the grounds today iam hoping its not the cluster parts are hard to get in wv for the 720s

THANKS for the help i found the problem it was the ground to the block i was serprized that it still ran with it off. i hooked it back up and my gauges started working.
