Gauge Problem / Idle Problem

Hey, I'm new here and just got myself a 1992 240sx hatch yesterday!To be honest this is my first 240, my first turbo'd car.

So here's the deal. In my gauge cluster, when i tap my breaks the lights dim/flicker. also the oil pressure light is constantly on and off flickering, styaing on, turning off. The middle of the cluster, in between the speedo and tach is completely dim when lights are on. also the speedo needle wont move off of 0 km/hr is going on?

And as far as the idle problem goes, when i'm in gear and lets say i need to stop at a light, i put my car into nuetral from 4th and let off the clutch, if the rpm's drop from anywhere between 2k-6k to fast, the damn thing just dies and i gotta pop the clutch to keep it running. help me!!

any advice and/or knowlegde would be awesome.
