So where are you guys mounting your gauges? Looking for some creative ideas here! Post pics of your setups if you can. I want to keep a look that is as clean as possible, while keeping my HVAC and radio.

In before someone posts that hidden flip out gauges video.

Not the clearest picture, but I have it replace the center vents (which I blocked off in the back), and I have angle rings on em.

^^ actually i think his gauges look good... its what he has in his center console that looks a little sloppy but that doesnt really matter since it isn't seen.

And to Razi, that setup looks badass!!!

How is what he did sloppy? I'm not seeing it at all. His wires are tucked, the gauges are angled towards him, and they're Defi gauges. What's not to like?

I don't know if you have ever seen this, but you should try to find a way to make it work.

They way I would have done it would be to use PVC and cut them to angle the gauges toward me. Take off the center trim piece, mount the PVC in the area for the gauges, then fill the rest with an epoxy. Shape, and sand. Then use texture paint and then spray them to match. That way the gauges don't go over the edge and you don't see those screws. MUCH more clean, less SLOP. Not for everyone I guess, but when I actually do do stuff I prefer not to cut corners.

Edit: Couldn't find the exact picture. But this is kinda the basic idea...

Sleeper look is kinda stupid, because gauges are you something you need to read while driving. You dont want to look under the dash when you're at the top of fourth gear. Should be somewhere you can glance quickly at without taking your eyes off the road too much.

What bout this, First attempt at making gauge pods, came out okay I guess.I didn't want to delete the vents, or deal with moving the HVAC control or radio. Also for visibility no to be compromised.Flame or comment if you want. Dont mind the dirty interior.and from outside Dont have night pics.

whats with the toyota mat? your gauge pod set up isnt my thing too many gauges in one spot. If it was 3 there and 2 on the A pillar it wouldnt be so bad.

It's powered by Toyota, J/K

I like it that way, all wiring in one place, mounting on A pillar is too common, and have to deal with wiring like a spider web. By the way I dont think they make 60mm pillar gauge pods that is one piece, and not my style.

placham I like where you placed those, but too many, and non uniform. Also, run the cables through the dash.

This is made from two different gauge pods, that's why they look different. I was planing on putting 2 gauges on left side of gauge cluster and other 3 on right side as they are. I might redo it, it's simple just fiberglass and bondo and paint. About cables, I dont really want to trash my dash, since its in perfect condition, and I know most S13 dash's crack from sun. If I had a spare dash, I would probably fiberglass the whole thing, and make pods part of the dash.

And by the way, in pic they might look kind of odd. Buy once your sitting in car and driving they dont distract you, yet their visible/readable at a glance.

I did what I could with what I have. She was a daily driver and I needed her on the road. Believe it or not...it took me the whole weekend. You could have probably have done a better job and in less time. Sure I would love to have a clean a** set-up, but I do not have the know how or the money to pay someone to do it. I am DAMN proud of what I accomplished.

OP wanted to see some interesting gauge set-up, so I posted mine cause I have not seen anyone relocate there AC controller to the arm rest.

I think that its not a bad setup sr20power. But yeah trash my idea. need something visible. I like plachems idea of fibreglassing the whole dash and mounting the guages into it. that would be neat and clean.

Not a gauge but it is in the cockpit.

Eliminated the map lights for something more useful/suiting to me.

Whatever you decide to do.... If you want to do something creative, never second guess yourself.

Good Luck.

Trust me, I like your idea. It's much more convent then blocking the vents, looks better too IMO. Didn't mean to harm.

Just saw a thread over on Zilvia of a guy doing that in his S13, looked clean as hell. I will try and find it.

Ghast: Didn't Broadfield make that for you? That guy is the master.
