Here's my dilemma; I'm trying to find a neat, tidy spot for a boost gauge to mount and a spot for my HKS EVC II boost controller. I have the boost controller but I'm still trying to decide which boost gauge to get...Here are my questions.1) Where do you guys mount boost gauges and controllers?2) How do you like it? (Is it easy to read/access)3) Please post pics of your gauges/controllers mounted! Here's what I've come up with; I could.....A) Use the HKS DIN panel for 1 46mm gauge and 2 electronics(the boost controller and a timer perhaps) Would this be hard to read and access? B) Use the HKS 60mm meter mount to mount the gauge on the steering colum or on top of the gauge cluster. If I did this, where would I mount the controller? C) Use the HKS 46mm meter cup and simply mount the gauge on my steering colum. However, still no place for the evc II.

i like that DIN panel idea. It looks very clean. I have mine mounted on my A pillar for a bit of more reading ease. It's not as flush as I would like it to be, but that's because all the S13s over here have auto seatbelts, except for the convertibles. I had to take an S13 pod and sand the edges down till it came somewhat flat.

Since you're using a pic of an S14 center console, I'll assume you have an S14 and won't have to warn you against using the knuckle vents by the steering wheel. (it looks neat until you get up close and notice that it's not flush, and leaves a lot of gapping)

with the right sized hole saw, you'll cut into the surrounding plastic on the top and bottom, but to the left and right will be open space

im mounting mine like above, but i got two 60mm gauges (boost/egt) and there's really no place else to put them.

if you only have one gauge, and dont worry about straining your eyes a little at the 46mm gauge, get the din panel. its the neatest and cleanest one.

I wasn't going to be the first to bash, but since the smack down has already been dropped...

PS - On another note, we need some sort of "ricer" emoticon.

before you go look at teh 46mm gauge panel (din) go look at the astronomical prices of the freaking gauges--

O M G

thats retarded.mount them to the steering column. The din panel looks hot-but the hotness aint worth the cost.

Long Beach PD isn't an issue if you're white like me. They have much more severe issues to be dealing with than pulling over people for loud exhausts and having them pop the hood. I went blowing past a cop doing about 60 in a 35 and figured I was f'd for sure. He didn't even look twice.

that would look hot if you painted the bezel on the gauge cluster black. maybe it's just the pic, but it looks kinda janky. and the mounting of the E-01 looks kinda strange. it could be the pics though. I personally wouldn't have used autometer, but it's still cool.

fuel level / odometer? race car?

I'm looking for some guages, so why wouldn't you use Autometer and what would you use instead?
