I recently had my deck jacked out of my 2003 Sentra GXE...

Now, I don't have gauge lighting, or any lights around the AC controls.

Checked all fuses under dash and under the hood near the battery.

Any suggestions?

check the dimmer switch as it is a common culprit. also check fuses as they may have shorted your interior lighting fuse.

Yep.. it was the dimmer switch....

After looking at Michells electrical schematics, you can easily see if you touch the two illumination wires together, it would create a short, causing the dimmer switch to burn out.

Thanks much.

Also on a very important side note,

The illumination in the driver's side power window button, the one marked "AUTO" is not connected to the dimmer circuit and has a seperate ground.

So in short, if you "AUTO" is lit up, but no gauge lights, then its most likely the dimmer switch and not a fuse.

Btw, what years of Sentra's dimmer switches are interchangable?

I have a 2003... will a 97 work?
