Gauge illumination wire

hi, sorry this is a really noob ques. I tried searching for wire diagrams, google, etc. but anyway, for a '97 s14 which wire would be best to splice into for the light bulb in a small gauge? There's a few wires I'm considering, like the one that lights up the 12v outlet (cig lighter) but looks too thin...any help would be greatthanks

If you want it on when the ignition switch is on, just tap into the switched 12v+ for the radio.

Almost all the wires for illumination are the same gauge, so just use any of them. The one behind the radio is probably the easiest
