my friend gave me these used gauges that were made in japan but sold in Canada and he never had them hooked up before. Now that i have them i have no idea how to hook them up. The are 2 inch smoke gauges There are four wires, red, black, green, and orange. I know that red and black are positive and negative, but what is green and orange? So if anyone can please help that would be great. O yea by they way it is for a water temp. and a oil pressure sensor.

for the few gauges i have hooked up the black is a ground for the power wire and green to ground the gauge itself. i know it doesnt sound right but it should be correct. somebody chime in to correct me if this is wrong.

ok i have hooked up the red and black wires and everything lights up. Also on my temp. sensor there is a white and black wire so i know that the green and orange wire needs to go to one of these. should i just take a change and just hook it up. Or should i just hook a fuse up to both of the wires to see which one blows or not?
