Ok, I have a 1991 w/ a HUD that (of course) no longer works. I also have a JDM analog cluster and harness and a USDM analog cluster and harness. What can I do to get a speedo again!?! I tried plugging in both harnesses and their respective clusters and all I get is turn signal, fuel light, and a fuel gauge that shows my tank is twice as full as it should be (the needle just goes vertical). I have heard that the 91s have different cluster wiring that other KA24DE S13s. If so, how can I make this work! I really don't want to drop $200 for working digital gauges, as I like the look of the analog ones.

you'll need to change the tach for the usdm one as the tach's aren't interchangeable between the usdm and the jdm (different engines and different sensors). You'll need to have a look at the back of the jdm cluster. There you'll need to follow the lines to where each one goes. Then compare it to the usdm so you know which wires are what on the usdm cluster. Then change the wires around to correspond to the jdm cluster. The tach needs to be swapped, and the speedo needs the jdm sensor, or needs to be changed in from the usdm.

So basically I need a USDM cluster? Then how do people have JDM clusters on their USDM cars? My beuudy Keith who has a single cam car has a JDM cluster. He said he jsut plugge it in, installed the JDM speed sensor on the transmission, and went with it.

Oh, and with the JDM cluster, my lights finally work again, but ONLY when the ebrake is slightly pulled up (like the first click before it actually engages the brake). With the brake all the way down, they go off. Odd...

that means that somehow u have all the lights on the ebrake light circuit, i dont know how u did that though...

u take a jdm cluster, a jdm speed sensor, and thats it. plug it in. u dont have to worry about the tach differences since u have a 91. if it doesnt work, then something else is messed up

So the thing that I really need to so is to pull the dash and check all wiring? This sucks...
