I have spent the better part of my night looking for people who have changed the gauge face in the G. Personally I am not the biggest fan of the orange, it's not too bad just boring. Only Ebay had a set but the are not installed, I wanted to see what the contrast looks like. I have noticed that there are tons of options for various cars out there but only these for a G. This seems like a really easy way to improve the interior look of this car I do not know why it has not become more popular.

I'd be happy with just changing the back light color. The gauges themselves are fine with me.

+1

I like the cluster. Just hate the orange. It is everywhere.

I really like the cluster too as it is, this is just a simple cheap way to improve the look of it. It may be a little ricey, but I have always liked white gauges and the orange is a little drab. If I were to get a G this would be one of the first things I would do.

Without posting the FSM data, what's involved in tearing the cluster apart?

lol sick of my pictures?

It's not that hard there are alot of things that have to be taken out. I will post pics of the next one I get (although they are not common). Taking the combination meter requires patience and time to do it without breaking everything. There are four bolts from the bottom but a bunch of stuff has to come out to get access to them then the unit comes out and has to be disassembled into several pieces.

I saw on another forum a guy changed all the orange to blue. Its way too much time and work for just changing the color. Not worth it in my opinion...

I don't know if im allowed to post someone else's pic w/o permission but here goes...

That really doesnt seem like it would be incredibly difficult changing the leds in the nav controller would be the hardest part along with the HVAC display I think. I would really like to try this out. I am going to start collecting old parts now to see if I can do this.

Thanks for the pic I am sure the owner of the car would not mind us drooling over his hard work.

He's from a competing forum so I don't want to post the site but his username is Accordfreak.

That's ok I rehosted the pic so now it's a NICO pic.

I really don't mess with the other forums, the people there drive me nuts. This site doesn't have as much G race stuff but it's real owners who want to get the most out of there cars and discuss issues pertaining to them.

Pics...I don't care, as long as they are not watermarked. Dropping links or direct advertising for a competing forum...

Steve,

If you could provide an FSM section and page number or similar direction, I'd seriously look into this.

I'm a little poor ATM, but mods like this are worth it IMO. Especially since they don't cost much (other than time).

I'm going to start collecting parts and tinkering with them to see just how involved this is going to be. Sounds like I have a new article in the works, I was unable to get my hands on anything relevant this afternoon, but I'll take a trip to the warranty room next week.
