i have a 90 240sx with an sr20 in it.

i was just driving 4 days ago, and all of a sudden the tach and engine temp gauge stop working. i just pulled it out today, cleaned the connectors and plugged back in, but they still don't work. you think i need a new gauge cluster, or that the wiring somewhere is disconnected? i was swapping in and out different ecu's and was wondering if there was some wiring near the ecu that would have to do with that right side of the cluster.

btw, my speedo and gas gauge works fine.

thanks!!mark

I am having the same type of problem, except the temp reads fuly hotuntil you rev the motor and it drops, when you let of the gas it goes back to hot, all the wires are hoohked up. It is very weird, this has never happened before, and I tried the old cluster... same problem any ideas, I have been reading through old posts for about 3 hours trting to find an answer, I havn't found one yet, any help would be appreciated.

your tach wiring is part of the wiring system that extends past the ECU ... its the yellow w/ green stripe wire ... check it to make sure it has a good connection ... (not sure if the SR swaps have you get spliced and stuff, but mine did --sohc to dohc-- and that's where i had to do it)
