So I'm curious... what are people doing after they complete the swap for the Sr20 into their cars with their gauge clusters? Are you using the one that came with the car or are you using the JDM one?

Also the JDM has a higher redline I would assume....

Just curious about this one thing.

So I guess then people are just using their stock KA cluster. I was thinking of adding a custom digital cluster but I can't even get a response from anyone it seems...

Most of us use the stock ones, yes. The speedo will be off by a smidge, but it's negligible. I just don't think it's worth the fuss to do something different.

So I'm curious.... if a company was to provide a customized gauge cluster would people be all over it?

Meaning a complete digital gauge where you can chose what gauge such as tach, speedo, boost, water all in one unit? Would people be willing to pay for something like that?

Im sure a few would be...but there is something you need to understand

Most 240 owners would be happy to be able to put gas in their cars, worrying about having custom gauges is not our greatest concern

all i did is put the ka speed sensor in and kept the ka gauge cluster in car, probably not gonna put the jdm one in for the sr20 since itll keep me from revving higher

and agreed with driftboy07 haha

Ah understandable. Though isn't the redline on the S13 7500?

I could guess about the gauges since the economy isn't the greatest. I thought it would be a cool feature if people are able to have custom gauges but also allowed features such as boost, oil pressure, etc all in one package.

the only thing that keeps you from revving higher is the ecu

On mine I just swapped in the JDM tach so I had the correct redline into the stock USDM cluster. Very easy to do.

I love the idea, but the cost would get quite high (digital display, sending units, controller, etc).

That sounds like a good idea. Never thought of that. I'll have to look into it when I get my motor.

I not sure what the price is going to be. I talked to old school mate that was talking about creating it so that people won't have to buy gauges for modified cars if he is able to create a digital cluster with custom features. He said he was ambitious enough to try to talk big time manufactures into putting it in their cars... but I wished him luck. It sounded really cool, but I don't know what it entail or the cost to manufacture something like that.
