gauge cluster

Car: 89 240sx w/ sr20

i have the JDM gauge cluster for a sr20, and i kno that i need a 91-93 240 gauge cluster to work properly but could i take the speedo and the tach out of my KA cluster and put it into the SR cluster and it work??

Just take the tach out of the SR cluster and put it in the KA cluster.

Just to clarify some more. The tach out of the sr cluster will also work in the 89-90 cluster.
