Alright, who has swapped gauge clusters before. I had a SOHC Canadian 240sx. I swapped in a SR and bought a DOHC Canadian gauge cluster. I plugged that cluster in and neither the speedo or tach worked. I read that you have to swap the actual tach out into your old cluster unless you get a 180sx cluster. Seeing as how I live in Canada and go by km/h I thought just getting a 180sx cluster would be a good idea. I bought on and low and behold neither the tach or speedo works on it. Has anyone actually put a 180sx cluster into a 240 that used to be a SOHC. I know my tachometer reading works since my EMS gives me an engine load reading.

Nobody here has added a cluster tach to an SR swapped 240 that used to previously be a SOHC?

Robbbby-Not exactly the same problem, but similar.I went from a DOHC to an SR, and we missed 4 wires up by the underhood fuse/relay box. Turns out we had plugged the SR harness into the KA harness, but 4 wires needed to be repinned. At work and don't have the car in front of me, but I seem to remember it was the tach wire, the VSS wires, and one other, think it was a white/red, green/yellow and I can't remember the others. It's something sort of easy to check though and might save you having to buy a new cluster right away =) Hope this helps!!

Does all your engine lights and etc. light up when the key turns to the on position? All 6 (I believe) wires hooked up by the ecu?

Yes all harness wiring that you need to go from KA to SR is done. The white dash plug by the ecu is wired. Hell I chopped the connectors off and soldered the wires hoping that the connector was bad.
