gauge cluster swap question

my 1995 maxima gauge cluster crapped out on me and the miles dont roll.. would anyone know if the 1996 gauge cluster would work with mine? i noticed that the 1996 clusters are digital and the 1995 arent. i was just wondering if it would work fine, if you guys know by any chance can you let me know? thanks!

Per the FSM, the wiring diagrams between the two years look pretty darn close...

even though they are similiar they arent exactly the same. i want to know if anyone has done this swap before and if they its just a plug and play?

If you are talking the clusters with the digital readouts for miles/trip, those were not available until '98. Those can be swapped in, but it requires extensive modification to the wire harness.

does anyone know which year clusters i can just "plug and play" with? if you did that would be great!

Via the FSM's, the above wiring diagram is the same for '96 and '97. '98 and above had the digital readout.
