k so i am having an issue, i have a 91 s13 with the rb25det swap, welded diff and 16 inch rims, the rear tires are 225/ 50r16 and the fronts are 205/ 55r16. anyways it was working great and one point and then about a week ago all my gauges dropped to zero except my fuel went past the F, at first i thought it was my ign swith cuz i have been having issues with it but after putting a brand new one today they still dont work, however i am gettin power to all the lights on the cluster, i checked my fuses by the my feet and they are all fine, i havent checked my conections to the ECU yet as i am still on the drivers side going thru the connections here. i even put my buddies cluster in to see if mine was bad and still nothing. does ANYONE have an idea wat i should do cuz i am so lost on this. also i do have 2 Dakota Digital convertors installed one for my tach and the other for speed. someone plz help. the weather is getting beautiful and i gotta have my baby running so i can go on my drives

I split this off to its own separate topic since Carl's page isn't mean to be a trouble shoot all problems possibly related to a DD convertor.

As for your specific issue, get a multimeter out and start testing wires. If all of your gauges are going s***, then I don't think the issue lies in the convertors. It's probably more to do with a short in the harness. Check where you spliced in the convertors and make sure something isn't arcing to ground there, or that something isn't back feeding a ground somewhere. The gauges all pull the same 12V source voltage, but each grounds separately. If you have one shorting out, it's possible that everything in the cluster is going to be wonky. Since the fuel gauge reads higher when the resistance from the sending unit is lower, I would check that first since yours is pegged.
