I just got my car back from the shop yesterday after many long months. Car is running fine and dandy and I'm pretty happy to have it back on the road. But my gauge cluster is all goofy.

1) The trip meter I'm guessing its called, once it rolls past 99 it goes back to 0 instead of 100. It didnt do this before, from what I can recall anyways. Any idea why it keeps resetting itself instead of going up to the 100s?

2) My gas needle (gauge) has never worked since I installed my jdm cluster. I'm not sure why its not reading how much gas I got but its hard to keep up with the miles since I got problem 1 now. Is it because I didnt push the needle down to E when I was instaling the cluster? Any idea on this one?

And then my final question is what is that one icon with the circle around the ! and then with the two ( )?

So it looks something like this.... ( (!) ) Know which one I'm talking bout?

1...the gear on that last digit place might be broken (u never know since it was taken out before) 2...does the needle moved at all, if it moved and reading wrong then u need to take out the cluster and reset it (put it back empty before starting da car) if it doesn't move at all then u have a wiring problem, and its better just to leave it then try and fix it3...and according to my manual for 91 240sx, that symbol means da same thing as "brake" (guess they used it in japan because japanese dont' speak english) which is for the emergency brake

Do you have the cluster installed properly?

Some of the connectors could be installed in the wrong place and make everything go all haywire (knowing from experience). I hope you didnt have to force any of the plugs into their spots on the back of the cluster...

Now that I think about it...

That wire diagram (dont know the real name so I'm using this)...the plastic piece with all the metal wires on it that is conneced to the back of the cluster (Hopefully ya'll know what I'm talking about) was burnt out so we took the one off of the usdm cluster and put it on the jdm cluster. The jdm one was all burnt up and looked as if it shorted out. Could this have a role in anything?

that would be ur problem right there, the electrical circuit extend be on that printed circuit so if the original one burned out, i bet the other stuff got burned toolooks like u need a new gauge

Even if I took the circuit off the usdm cluster and put it on the jdm one it wouldnt work correctly?

So, anyone got a cheap jdm cluster for sale?
