gauge cluster problems

ok my freind recently swapped in his sr and got it started the other day. the only thing that is really messed up his gauge cluster just flashes and doesnt show any readings at all. we changed it out with another one and its doing the same thing. anyone else had this problem?

id like to add that all his fuses are fine and he changed out the sensors on the sr trany with the ones from the ka. are u supposed to that?
