gauge cluster problem

im trying to use my old ka24e gauge cluster with hud. i hooked everything upto it and started the car but nothing works but the hud speedo and its a couple mph off at that. has anyone else had this problem? I also have a ca gauge cluster but i dont think the electrical connectors fit into the back of it.

to my knowledge your going to have problems cause your using the SOHC cluster, you need a DOHC

speedo off may be due to using the CA's speedo sensor, as it expects a 4.36x final drive, not the 4.08 your going to have on your 240sx. swap the sensors out from the KA transmission to the CA.

Also, you do need a KA24DE or SR20DE/T or CA18DE/T (SR/CA for S13 obviously) tach.. I forget if the tach is swappable from HUD to non HUD.. if it is get a DE and swap it over, otherwise you're up a creek, find a working DE HUD cluster ($$$$$ and hard to find) or go without HUD.

so could i just use the ca gauge cluster? if so do i need to do any modifying to the electrical connectors so i can get it to work?

supposed to fit without any wiring involded just plug and play... but on my setup someone modified the Ignitor signal to send compatible signal to my tach .. but dont ask me how .. i guy did it for 30 Bux.

the analog tach won't swap into the HUD cluster, the needle is too long and the face is too big... I swapped my needles but now the tach is a little slow.. so I supplemented it with an aftermarket one.My damn speedo still isn't working, does anyone know what wire that is on the dash harness?
