I charged up my battery the other night, turned it on, my horn doesnt work, clock lights up doesnt show time, gauge lights dont come on, and headlights work, but wont go down.

I checked ALL fuses on drivers side inside. No blown.I checked the passenger side by the battery and found a blown 75a ALT fuse.

I dont know how to check the relays, but could the ALT fuse be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated.

yes, it probobly can, but you also need to find out why it blew. replace it first, and see if it blows again, or if everything starts working again. replacing fuses is the first step in diagnosing an electrical problem.

you have a short in the main power circuit. That fuse comes off the main power from the alternator. If it blows again you may wanna take your alt out and have it tested.

Okay, i will check that out, I just put in my alternator( the other night, its not new, but I took it off to do my timing chain) Ground wire in wrong place maybe?

I thought I hooked it up right, the connection is on good, as is the other wire.

if your ground wire was in the wrong place, that could definatly do that, but it would blow imediatly, not over a few days.

no its not, i think the ground wire was installed in the wrong place. I am going to change it after I get my valve job done.
