Just bought a 92 q45 and the gauge lights aren't working, as well as the rear running lights, stop lights and headlights work fine. Radio won't power on at all either. Checked all fuses under dash and in engine compartment and all are good. Even read about a guys pass side sunvisor causing a short but they both work fine. I can't really drive at night with the lights not working so def. need some guidance. Thanks guys

Welcome to NICO.

Have the chain guides been replaced?

If you don't know, now is the time to find out and replace if necessary.

Investing in a good automotive multimeter and learning how to use it will go along way in hunting down electrical gremlins.

I've only had the brake lamps squat on me so far.(Stop Lamp Out sensor went bad)

Here's an FSM to help http://phatg20.net/modules.php...d=203

Having been the victim of the electrical gremlins in my Q, I always suggest that you recheck your fuses using a multimeter or fuse tester. The break in the fuse wire can be so small that you can't see it with the naked eye, but a continuity check doesn't lie. Are your headlights stuck on high beam?

You're at a bit of a disadvantage having inherited this problem from the previous owner. If you can get some history from him/her on what was going on when the lights went out it may help to narrow the problem. Good luck.
