Gathering Interest:State Route 33 Canyon Run

So me and my friends have been trying to plan a canyon run over here. Its the 33 Highway in Ojai. The Meeting Point would be at the Kmart Parking lot in Santa Paula, right on the Peck Rd. (895 Faulkner Rd. for the mapquest) After meeting at Kmart we will head on the 126 Freeway, and Merge on the SR 150 and then after that merge onto SR 33..

We do not have a set date or time yet. Thats why this is a Gathering Interest thread. We want to do it sometime within the next month. We just need to know days people are willing to make the trip, and the times they are available. We want a good turnout and we would like many of you guys to go, no matter what youll be driving.

We will most likely go up it thru all the twisties, and come back down when the twisties end. From there we can go on the freeway to Ventura, there is beaches, restaurants, and other crap we can do, just incase anyone wants to go eat or just chill somewhere after driving.

The 33 is filled with beatiful scenery, smooth(brand new road) turns, high cliffs, tunnels, and a waterfall. It's a Canyon Road to get to a Canyon Road. Here are a couple of pictures and videos of the 33 Highway incase anyones interested....

This is a gorgeous road. I went on this cruise a couple months back with a couple of Z32s. From Frazier Park, to Ojai. Great drive.

its most likely gonna be like middle of Feb. on a Sunday..we r trying to get a big turnout thats why i am posting ahead of time..BTW anyone is invited..invite freinds and tell them to invite more freinds..there should be about 15 cars going from town alone..and i live in a small town..

cool..ur not that far...hopefully people are down to drive far for a good run..last time we did this run there were about 25-30 cars..and we went in groups of 5 or 6..it was freakin bad..

actually no..cops dont really go on that highway..but yea its a good run..there is like a little canyon (highway 150) before u get into ojai..then u get to the 33..so it should be pretty fun..

its a good 50 or so miles and a good hour and 20 minutes of just driving..this is one way up of course..we r also gonna be going through some other twisties on our way to this canyon(highway 150)..so all in all expect to get home about 4 or 5 hours later because people usually check out the cars and talk to the other drivers..

The drive is worth it. Trust me. It's like 100+ish miles of canyon.

ok so the set date is Sunday Feb 22nd. we will be meeting at kmart in Santa Paula at around 11am..we are hoping to leave by noon..so if i can get a list of confirmed people going that would be awesome..we got people from rx7 club, club roadster and socal 3s going..there will also be a lot of people from town going..so far it seems like its going to be a great turnout..i would love for everyone to try to make it and give some support to the Nissan crowd..

Canyon runs are usually something you organize within friends. Once people start asking for cops I assume they're gonna be acting like idiots. Something tells me some dumb initial d fan is gonna eat it bad.
