Has anybody taken their car in to get this corrected? The gas nozzel kicks off when my car is about half full. Usually I can just start it again and it will go on an fill up. This morning, I don't know if it was the heat, I couldn't get it to quit kicking off. I just had to leave with 1/2 tank.

I sure hate to have them tearing up my car like the service advisor said they were going to have to. Anybody had this done???

What it is, is a cut bracket that gets installed on the fuel fill limit valve.See the Picture. The back seats are removed, and the tank must be empty. You have to stick your hand in the tank blindly, and find the valve, and finnagle the bracket on. Its only been done twice at my dealer. No one at our shop seems flexible (or willing) enough to do it, so I've installed them both times on said vehicles. Its not hard, just takes time and x-ray vision to know where to guide your hand to. That and the sharp metal around the tank opening that cuts up my arm repeatedly, and fuel gets splashed on the gashes because both customers failed to realize that not only is fuel unbearably painful in an open wound, but the TSB clearly states the tank must be almost empty, and they wanted to be lazy and come with over a 1/4 tank. Anyway, enough bickering. Here's a pic of the cut bracket.

Thanks Poyz. Do you think the heat affected my fill up this morning? Usually I can control it and go on and get it to fill.

Heat=EvilIn an automotive thesaurus anyway.I dont think it affects it too much... My car is hard to fill, but I keep forgetting to replace my shutter valve... I know its gotta be actin up since the last 4 fills have been making the pump give me more clicks than an automatic gatiling gun with no bullet feed strip.
