Gas tank problem? what to do?

ok so i droped my gas tank do to a split hose, well i thought some one put some rocks in my tank a long time ago cuz every time it got around a half tank it makes this unbearable noise. so i pulled the fuel pump out to find this.

idk if i should pull it out or not. i think its tgo keep the fuel from splashing around in the tank. you can see where it broke. the only thing holding it up is that little plastic clip

Get the fuel out, let it air out and weld it.

I'm sorry your photos are hard to see, to be honest I don't know what I am really staring at other then a metal tab? Looks like the fuel baffle. You were able to get the camera down there and your hand in there. So if it is all metal all you need to do is tach it up.

If not, get a new tank or enjoy the sounds of rocks. JB weld might work, but the fuel will break it down over time.

sorry for the bad photos, there is no way i can get a welder in there to fix it. i can get another tank but thats not what i want to do, i wonder if i removed it there would be a problem.

im gonna go get some more better pics

Your fuel gauge will wonder all over and you can get air in the fuel system and cause bogging if you take out the baffles.

I would source a new tank

ok so i got some better pics, i want to know if removing it is gonna cause problems? i have another tank but this one (on the out side) is in better condtion

Its the baffle, your going to want to keep that. Like I said above it can cause issues, at low fuel levels
