Gas Tank Hiss

Got a problem with my car. Took it our for an hour and half drive. Got back and there is a hiss at that sounds like it is coming from the gas tank when you stand outside of the car (with someone lightly reving it). I can even here it when i am sitting in the drivers seat with the window down. Its not quite the sound that happens with the fuel pump pressurizes the fuel system on start. It happens when i rev up to about 2K and sometimes stops a second after it starts, but other times you can hold the gas and it continues. It might continue on up the rpm band, but the exhaust overpowers it on sound so i cant tell. I wonder if i am losing gas pressure on rev and its working harder to compensate? Power feels fine, and this is the first time it has happened. I will check to see if it stops. But i want some suggestions just in case in happens next time i drive it. Doesnt quite sound like an exhaust leak, like i said more from the gas tank area. Suggestions please.

Found something on a website, suggesting that cars have internal hose from the fuel pump to to the lines out the tank. They say this can get a hole in it and cause these same symptoms. Wonder if this is true for this car. The thing they pointed out was if or if not the system was losing pressure to the environment. My tank holds pressure, so the hiss would have to be an internal leak. I know this when the taking the gas cap off because it has a lot of pressure behind it. Anyone know anything about the gas tank setup? On these you can get to all of of the crap in the tank from a panel under the spare tire, or you cant do that on the Z. Oh my God a fact i dont know!?!?!?! Let me know what yall know about it.

I'm not too sure about the problem, but there is an access door to the fuel tank in the hatch. It's pretty much the only "access door" in the hatch, so you can't miss it.
