Ok so i have a 1990 240 my odometer is broken so i cant really tell how fat i get on a tank of gas but I'm driving from here Las Vegas nv to tennesee and back trying to figure out how much money i need any help? Also is it true the fuel gauges are s*** and read way under what ou actually have? Is all of them or just some thank you.

Math 101

Step 1- Google "1990 240sx fuel economy" result = 20-23 mpg
Step 2- Google "1990 240sx fuel tank capacity" result = 15.9 gallons
Step 3- Calculate mileage on one tank 16x20, 16x23 = 320~368 miles on one tank
Step 4- Google maps "Las Vegas, to Tennessee" 1,820 miles. Divide by miles on one tank. result=4.9~5.7 full tanks of gas
Step 5- 16 gallons at a median price of 3.50$ a gallon means 56$ per fill up. Multiply by average of 6 tanks of gas result = 336$

336$ would be a very rough average but that gives you an idea

Thank you for the "math 101" sarcasm i had done that and gotten around 690 both ways giving a little room for engine not running right or just wiggle room i was aiming more towards the fuel gauge question and to double check the money id need

Every fuel gauge is different when it comes to an old car. I have an extra dohc cluster if you want it. Everything worked there's no tach in it but you have sohc anyways so you'll just put your tach in the cluster its easy. 3 screws on the cluster. Thats all. 40$ + shipping. And no more 15,25,35 speedo numbers. Thats one thing I hate about sohc s13s it drives me crazy
