My Q45 runs great, idles perfect, accelerates great, everything. But from time to time when it's idling, or when I go around a turn at low speed I get a real strong gasoline smell inside the car. I've never found a leak. Any ideas?

Something wrong with the fuel pump, maybe? Worth checking it out.

Hi Buck, been there, fixed that. On mine it was especially noticable in colder weather. You will have to contort yourself a bit to look forward just in front of the firewall on the passenger side. On mine I could actually see the leak when I stared it cold. It is a small rubber fuel hose connecting to a steel portion of line. This was several years back and I had read that you had to take the plenom off. Not the case with mine, I was determined not to do this and succeeded in getting half a turn or so on the clamp. No problems since. I used a  very long slim straight screw driver if I remember correctly.

Hope this helps.

Actually there are 3 rubber hoses connecting the fuel lines there. A one foot section from Joe should suffice if you cut precisely, and it will be the correct ID which the Autozone ones will not.

Quite frankly, I don't know anyway to replace them and the attendant stainless steel clamps without removing the plenum which I am guessing hasn't occurred in quite a while.
