The gas cap is seated on as good as it can get. There are no obvious cracks or damage to the seal on the cap. Also, there are no obvious leaks coming from the car.
Is it possible that a seal between the fuel inlet and the tank is leaking fumes? It wouldn't take much to get a smell. Also, it seemed to start when it the temps changed. Didn't notice this Aug - Oct....on around mid Oct did I start to notice.
Any ideas? And YES, I know it is something for the dealer, but if I don't give them something to look at....they'll look around the car, not see anything, and pronounce the problem fixed (at least that's generally what happens when I try to get something fixed.)
Thanks in advance.......
