you need to hook up a fuel gauge between the filter and the fuel rail to perform a leak down test on your injectors. Once installed turn the key on engine not running. let the pressure build up. watch the gauge if it drops off very quickly [more then 10 pounds in 1 min you have a fuel leak somewhere in the system. you can isolate its source by pinching the fuel lines in various places. pinch off the return line and do the test again. if it still looses pressure it is either the injectors/rail or the fuel pump if it doesnt loose pressure its your fuel pressure regulator. If test still fails you need to let the pressure build again this time as soon as the pressure reaches the highest pressure imediatly pinch the fuel line between the fuel filter and the fuel gauge if it still drops you have isolated the leak to the injectors.
With the drivability condition I am betting its the injectors, more specifically the orings at the bottom of them.
