Wow. Way to make a great argument.:rolleyes

You can live without pepsi, and don't use as much of it as you do gas. Many people can't live without driving.

Just because prices on completely unrelated products are higher that means it's ok for gas prices to be high?:rolleyes

Following this train of thought I will be protesting Ikea because furniture costs more than gas. Therefore high gas prices are ok.

Gas pricing dilemmas are merely distractions from the real issues.

Gas pricing has remained below inflation rate. It experiences a seasonal spike, then adjusts.

You either didn't know that, or don't remember last summer?

Frankly speaking, I don't see how people have time to worry about seasonal changes in the price of a gallon of gas. Ever go to Starbucks? Designer coffee brands sure are getting spendy too. Dairy is up. Raw materials ie, steel, is up. Home prices are up. Everything costs more, be thankful gas goes up and down, not just up.

Sell the car and get a highly economical motorbike if it's so bad.

I filled up with 93 the other day at $1.92/gallon.

Crazy, because I payed $2.63/gallon less than a month ago (although, I was driving through AZ).

Good piont. Thanks for bringing some more perspective to the issue.

Nobody listens or pays attention, which is why next year the message boards will be full of gas price complaints. It happened last year and I'm convinced they'll follow suit next year.

Exactly my point. And milk price stays up. There is no week-to-week swing like we see with gasoline, but still people insist on screaming about gasoline prices only, and don't realize that everything costs more.

By now, if you don't see the seasonal price hike coming, you should be labeled a moron.

Every year, people have fair warning. Why act surprised?

It's not the fact that everything costs more, it's that fact that some poeple have to travel alot in a day. Suppose you have to drive 70 miles a day to work and back. How long do you think a tank of gas is going to last you? You'll be spending $20-30 a week on gas at least.

Now how many people do you know who spend $20-30 a week for milk? Or each week go to buy a new house? This is atleast my perspective. I don't get surprised, I know it's coming. But when I know I'm gonna have to put more gas in my car in the next 3-4 days it pisses me off to know I'm going to be loosing almost twice as much money as I would have been a few months ago.

I buy one gallon of milk a week. Not a big expense. I buy 16.7 gallons of gas a week. When conpared to prices this time last year, i am up almost $9 a wee, or $450 a year. That is a nice mod down the drain, just based on gas prices. That is 1/2 a month's rent, or 2 car payments.

Milk, on the other hand, only costs me an additional $50 a year. And that house that keeps rising in cost will give back to the buyer down the road when it is sold.
