well ive never calculated my fuel mileage before but with the rapid riseing gas prices which is now about 3.50 in my area. im getting about 10 mpg per 17 gallons. is this suppose to be normal for a 2001 pathy? anyone else have similar mpg's?

mostly city driving, about once a week highway.

Gas mileage is not a strong point for this vehicle.I don't mean to discourage you or your thread, but if you check some past postings and threads, you'll find some interesting discussions on this subject. We've gone through this subject many times since I've been a member, and it seems there is no real solution to increasing your mileage significantly.Drive carefully and keep your truck properly maintained.Good luck.

Add some Warn manual locking hubs to your '01 and you'll save a MPG or two. Unless you have the All-Mode system, that is.

Air up your tires to near max, use some fuel system cleaner in the gas, have the injectors cleaned, clean your MAF sensor, maintain your vehicle with new plugs, wires and filters first. Lose any extra unnecessary weight inside as well. Do you really need to carry a golf bag around in the back when your garage is empty? You get the idea. Then see where your MPG's stand.
