hey guys, today i decide to fill up my mom's car at arco, and to my surprise, the gas price is $1.83 for unleaded, about a week ago it was only $1.63. I'm so pissed, my sileighty is a gas sucker, and now i don't even want to travel.

Well I was just wondering what's the gas price around everybody's area. I live in San Bernardino, and the price over here is the same as Long Beach.

I go to Chevron and it varies from $1.83 - $1.89 for the highest grade (91 octane). If gas prices got up to around $3.00 or $5.00, I'd still pay it in order to drive my S14.

"No blood for oil."

The Iraqis are free now, what happen to the lower gas prices?

Do you think it has something to do with the Gray Davis recall thing?

On the subject of gas...Today I happened to talk to a guy that built/installed/serviced the gas pumps/plumbing/tanks at an assload of gas stations in the atlanta area. He said Amoco had the cleanest systems, the cleanest gas, and the strictest regulations of any station he ever worked on. Texaco was a close second, in his opinion. Whenever he serviced the lines, pipes, or tanks at Exxon, Phillips 66, Quiktrip, etc, they were always full of sludge buildup out of the gas. Amoco, on the other hand, had virtually no buildup, even at older stations. The pumps also have a better pumping system, to make sure different octanes can't possibly mix at the pump. Might be true, might not be, but I know where I'll buy my gas from now on.

87 octane is around $1.80 on the penninsula, and in the high $1.90s in San Fran. I heard that there was a rupture in a pipeline in arizona or something that caused the spike in price two weeks ago. A "supply problem", although I'm not sure how much I trust that sort of thing.I'm going up to Oregon this weekend-man it is gonna be strange to have full service. Gas is considered a hazardous material there, and you need to have a properly trained attendant pump it for you-?? A little overboard guys?Xyster: that's good to know about Amoco+Texaco being the cleanest, thnx

2.79???? where do you live?? I was talking with brother about gas prices when we were younger about how people in the east and south get cheaper gas and complain when it jumped to 1.60 or so, while in Cali we would be lucky if the gas drop that low in times of crisis. No offense to you folks living out there, but I guess that's the price you pay when you live in Cali.

Wow Zenki, where did you spot all these guys at? I have a factory red sileighty, the front is primed red because i don't have money to paint it right now.

The last time i spot this one dude who had a burgundy coupe with the silvia conversion in front of Home Depot on Hospitality Lane. Then there is this one white dude name Brandon who has a Onevia with the Bomex kit. and another white dude name Ryan on his way with a Pink Onevia with a SR20 (He might be the fastest 240 in this city). You might be able to spot my Sileighty if you drive on 3rd st, that's only if i park it outside without a license plate on.

I get the same prices as SpeedS13 (nor-cal!). Not to shabby, but the regular has started to hit the $1.80's where I live.

I live in fresno, correction it was $2.709 not $2.79. My mistake. *rolls eyes* Here in Cali we're quadruple taxed on our gas prices. Mutha F****** hippies and their environmental laws. And they say that Conservatives want money, they are the reason why the taxes are so damn high for gas in this stupid state.
