Does anyone else have this problem? I feel as though the gas pedal is wayyyyy too sensitive in the first 1/4 of its travel distance. This has been an inconvenience for me in the past by making the car jerk out of corners when I've wanted it to be smooth, but yesterday it ended up being an enormously major problem. Long story short, the car jumped off of ramps because I TAPPED the gas. Just letting go of the brake didn't get it moving so I had to tap the gas slightly. The slightest tap caused the car to jump off the ramps causing a significant amount of damage all around.

I mean I know the car is powerful with 340hp but come on, :wtf2: Why does the pedal have to be so sensitive? I drove my friend's S550, which has 382hp, and that thing is like PERFECT. The first 1/4 is for slow maneuvers, the 2nd 1/4 is for normal street driving, and the rest is for high acceleration.

Is there any way to change the sensitivity of the gas pedal to make the power delivery smoother?

Love the S550 too, but it is drive by wire and thus irrelevant to the G50.

Do you still have slack in the cables at idle?

I was referring to the 2005 Q45 being too sensitive.

My '97 is pretty much perfect and I would love to have the '05 have the same throttle map.

05 is drive by wire, I believe.

I'm pretty sure it is too, hence my question of whether it is possible to adjust the sensitivity.

try cleaning the throttle body, it might be dirty and causing it to stick.

It was cleaned the week after I purchased the car.

It has been this way for as long as I can remember. I think it's just an Infiniti thing - the G37 pedal is just as bad, if not worse in this sense..
