3 times I lost my gas pedal. No mater how hard I pushed the gas, nothing there. I had to turn off the car and start it. It imediately worked but It did happen with a student in the car and the 2 other times with myself at the wheel.I did bring it in and the computer said it lost connection with gas pedal 3 times. Did they do anything...........nope.......

If it happens, knock the shifter in N (neutral) start and go....... hopefully that works!

I have to add this to the list of problems I have had with my car. I hope like I have said before.......... the bugs are out of my car!

I've never lost connection, but there have been a couple times that the car has not responded properly to throttle. Like it's only giving a percentage of the actual throttle input I've put in.

I get that on our Toyota Highlander. (as a matter of fact, all Toyotas I've driven are like that, they get so much lag!)

Lag would be somewhere between .1 second and 1 second after you pushed the pedal, it responded.

I consider this failure, as it took the computer a good 10 seconds to figure out I was pushing the gas pedal.

Could be worse... Nissan has created steering and brake by wire systems too. I'll never own a car that has those. I'd take a city bus before driving those.

by time steering and braking by wire become a regular thing to own on a car, it will be well develope and im pretty sure it will be safer then it is now. I doubt all cars will use this for now.

Vahagn23 would love it, though. He doesn't want to feel the road. At all. If he could just hover over the road he'd probably be in heaven.

Personally I hate just about anything that detaches the driver from the road. ABS and airbags, though, I have to disagree with you on.

id appreciate airbags, but even ABS im iffy on...only in winter i would like having it, but as far as summer is concerned, dry or wet roads you should drive to match the conditions, ive never locked up once in 5 years owning my 240 and ive had a couple sets of real ****ty tires, and i drive hard
